Basic Blackjack Rules for Mac Online Blackjack
If you have never played online Mac Blackjack, it is time you found out what all the fuss is about. Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games and it can be found in nearly every online casino, as well as every brick and mortar casino. Blackjack was one of the very first casino games that people were legally allowed to play in 1931 in the United States of America. On top of being one of the oldest and most popular casino games, Blackjack is arguably one of the easiest to learn. If you know basic math and can remember a few simple rules, you will get the hang of Blackjack in no time.
When playing Blackjack, the point of the game is to get your 2 cards as close to 21 without going over, this is known as busting. To win the game, your total must not exceed 21, yet must beat the dealer's hand. Many people think that getting your cards to total 21 is a Blackjack, but that is not true. To have a Blackjack, your first 2 cards that are dealt to you must be an Ace and a face card. In the early to mid 20th century, the only way you could get a Blackjack is to be dealt both the Ace of Spades and the Jack of Spades. It is not considered a Blackjack if you have already chosen to split your cards and the second round of cards give you 21, even if it is made with only 2 cards.
When you play Blackjack, before any cards are dealt, all players at the table are required to place a bet in front of them on the Blackjack table. When all bets are placed, the dealer will deal each player 2 cards face up, while dealing themselves one face up and one face down card. If the dealer's face up card is an Ace, the dealer will give players the chance to make an insurance bet that will make up most of their original bet if the dealer indeed has a Blackjack. Each player at the table will have a chance to either double down (double their bet), hit (take another card) or stand (stayed position with the two original cards). When all players have either decided to stand (or have busted), the dealer will then flip their second card that was face down on the table. If the dealer's 2 cards total less than 17, or if the dealer has a soft 17 (ace and six), the dealer must hit; if the dealer has a hard 17 or higher (other variations adding to 17), they must stand. If both your hand and the dealer's hand end up with the same value, it will be a push (tie). At most regular Blackjack tables, winning players will be paid 1:1 and if a player gets a Blackjack, they will be paid 3:2.
Being one of the oldest and most popular casino games, many different Blackjack variations have been created and introduced into the casino world. Some of the most popular Blackjack variation casino card games are” Atlantic City Blackjack, Blackjack Switch, Double Attack Blackjack, Double Exposure Blackjack, Pontoon, Spanish 21 and Vegas Strip Blackjack.
